Music past and present

I'd love some ideas of music to be included on the DVD slide show I'm creating. Music from the 80's and music you currently are listening to that would go great with current pics.

I have a pretty big catalogue of music to choose from so I might have your music. Although, if you're just dying to have a Megadeath song on there... I won't have that:)

So....I take it you are looking for "happy" songs? like pop and new wave and snappy little dance tunes? No butt rock, acid rock, country rock, blues rock, metal, punk, psycho punk, rockabilly,or hillbilly? I will also assume no country, western, blues, jazz, big band, dixie, or swing? Let's not forget rap, hip hop, world, international, and gospel?

So, that leaves..inxs..madonna, the go go's police and a couple of other '80's bands!!!

my vote is c-89 stuff from the '80's to present.

I'm open to anything. If I don't have it I can always get it or have someone send me an mp3 file of it.

Bring on the butt rock. Although, a lot of that stuff is so dated.

As for C-89, I've not listened to that since high school, I have no idea what they are playing on it now.

I'm going to need some Beastie Boys, some Scorpions and some Billy Idol, with a side order of Cyndi Lauper, and Ozzy for dessert.

My wife just told me about the band "Dead Kennedys" and thought that would be apropos. However, she laughed when she said it, so I think she's not telling me something.

I don't know Jason.....it couldn't possible have anything to do with we all graduated from Kennedy? It is just a guess on my part though. If that is the case, you have got a keeper there....good sense of humor.

"Free Nelson Mandella" for these reasons:
1) Twelve of us did it for lipsync senior year (twice).
2) It evokes some "political" nostalgia for the era.
3) It's a kick-ass song.
